MITdesignX Venice is a multi-year open call for ideas co-created by MITdesignX (Boston) and  SerenDPT, a Venetian benefit company; 

SUSTAINABILITY & POSITIVE IMPACT ORIENTED IDEAS
MITdesignX seeks people working on challenging ideas with clear vision, passion and a drive to design solutions and launch real ventures: creative innovators dedicated to improving the quality of life in cities and the human environment. Every year the 10 best ideas gain admission to the accelerator program conducted by MIT faculty.

AN EQUITY-FREE ACCELERATOR
at MITdesignX Venice, Intellectual Property (IP) is considered the property of the individuals and/or teams. MIT and SerenDPT will neither stake IP or patent claims to new ideas developed at MITdesignX Venice nor take equity from the participating startups in exchange for training. 

LAUNCHING & SUPPORTING REAL VENTURES IN VENICE
SerenDPT hosts the program at its headquarters (Fabbrica H3) on the Giudecca island of Venice and provides incentives for startups to locate in the historic city, so they can contribute to repopulating the city and the lagoon by creating high-quality jobs. Every year, Fondazione di Venezia provides MDXV program with a financial support and awards prizes to the top teams.
